Etymology : The epithet is a matronym honouring Nadine Dupérré (Collections Manager, Zoologisches Museum, Universität Hamburg), our friend and colleague, in recognition of her numerous contributions to arachnology, especially on the taxonomy of spiders from Ecuador.

Male Activity
Thrixopelma nadineae sp. nov. is described from Loja, Ecuador, based on the male, which
possesses distinctive palpal bulb, metatarsal and tibial apophysis morphology. The new species
represents the second species of Thrixopelma to be recorded from Ecuador.
